Did you know you can grocery shop in minutes, not hours? How? When you keep the basics on hand at home you’ll only need to get a few extras each week to add to them and that makes shopping FAST. And that makes you AWESOME.
Keeping certain ingredients on hand all the time can make rounding out a recipe easy. Simple seasonings and condiments like mustard, mayonnaise, even olives or pickles can add a little something extra to your next easy dinner.
Because running out of that certain something is frustrating, here’s my list of fridge basics you should have on hand from day to day. Once you get the hang of keeping them in stock, you’ll soon know when something has been used up and be able to replace it.
One great tip (if I don’t sound too OCD for saying it) is to put items back in the same place or near the same place each time then when it’s time to build your list for the grocery store, you’ll be able to take a quick glance inside and see what’s missing.

- Milk your choice
- Butter (real is best usually salted is fine)
- Sour cream
- Cheddar cheese (block not pre shredded)
- Greek yogurt plain
- Ground beef
- Chicken breasts
- Pork tenderloin or chops
